Say it isn't so!

The new thriller "The Invasion" starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig is being reported (by EW) as to have gone through 17 days of extensive reshoots after sitting for nearly a year on its studio's shelf. Since being shelved never is a good sign, one has to wonder whether this is why they dumped the movie in August.

The good news is that the Wachowski Brothers ("The Matrix," et. al.) were behind the crafting of those reshoots, so maybe they were able to pull it up from whatever its producer, John Silver, decided that he and the studio didn't like. Or not.

The Invasion. Coming to a theater near you today. It either will give you chills, or make you crawl into a pod of your own. Here's hoping for the latter.
