Secret Agent AKA Danger Man Complete Collection: DVD Review
Secret Agent A.K.A. Danger Man: Complete Collection
Before the 1960s invasion of "I Spy," "The Avengers" and "Man from U.N.C.L.E.," television audiences had Patrick McGoohan’s John Drake, the international spy for Britain's M9 Intelligence Agency who, unlike his more famous, big-screen counterpart James Bond, rarely carried a gun or got the girl.
He wasn't as showy. Instead, McGoohan's Drake was the sort of low-key, cerebral spy you sense someone like John Le Carre would view as almost perfect.
Greased with intelligence, wit and action, this excellent set features all 86 episodes on 18 discs.
It's a nice complement to the recently released "James Bond Ultimate Collection," and particularly to next week's DVD release of the latest Bond, "Casino Royale."
Johnny Rivers’ hugely popular theme song, “Secret Agent Man,” remains a defining pop classic.

The actor reminds me of another series, the island? or similar.

I hope I found another one of the six. I use to watch this all the time. I would love to go and buy this complete set.

This sounds goofy but I had to go and put this theme song on my ipod-
of course I'll be humming it all day.
