Vintage Trailer: The Tigress (1977)

Otherwise known as "Isla, The Tigress of Siberia," 1977's "The Tigress" is one of those lesser-known grindhouse films that has to be seen to be believed. That's a cliche, sure, but so is this movie, which helps to make it a hilarious romp through another, less politically correct time.

The film starred the lovely Dyanne Thorne (perfect name) as The Tigress, a woman who puts the pain in painful. As the trailer notes, the prestigious, beautifully written "Oui" magazine viewed her as the "female James Bond dedicated to evil. She's meaner than Dirty Harry. She's a mistress of mayhem, a high priestess of evil. When she bears her claws, you'll scream in terror, so don't ever cross THE TIGRESS!"
