I love this movie and I'm particularly excited about this giveaway.
Essentially, the movie asks what better job for a masochist than the position of secretary, a career that--with the right superior in charge--can offer all the humiliation, degredation and domination any masochist seeking a slave-master relationship could want.
In the right frame of mind, being paired with a megalomaniac on a powertrip apparently has its rewards, particularly for those so inclined to receive them.
It’s fair to say that some in the field might question this, especially if they find nothing sexy about being ordered to fetch coffee, file this, shelve that, take dictation, take a memo, transcribe this, proof that, change the toner, change the water bottle, laugh at weak jokes and generally be underpaid to make another person look good.
Still, in “Secretary,” director Steven Shainberg carries on, presenting a premise that offers an unusual twist: What if there were a secretary who enjoyed being verbally abused and mistreated? What if he or she were coming to the job for a strict measure of discipline, a well-meaning slap on the fanny to boost motivation?
Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader are inspired here. Even if you don't win this one and haven't seen it, it's well worth the purchase.

Even though I haven't seen it, this may be a film that looks like it would be a little hard to watch, but I love films like that, films that put you, as the viewer, in a position that we could actually all relate too.
Maggie Gyllenhaal has got to be the most underrated actress working today, and she just doesn't get enough of the credit that she definitely deserves.

This is one of my favorite movies.
It is scorchingly sexy and a little bit eccentric and oddball.

I've always wanted to see this one -- I think Maggie Gyllenhaal is such a terrific actress, and I've heard great things about this film. I'm definitely a fan of twisted, off-center comedies, so this one's right up my alley.
