Bruno Takes...um...Top Spot at the Weekend Box Office
"Bruno" is on top--of course he is--with a $30.4 million take at the box office.
Expect that number to decline dramatically, not just because the movie only is so-so, but also because most of the movie's business came on Friday. After that, it saw a steep decline in ticket sales, thus suggesting that those who loved "Borat" had come to see what Sasha Baron Cohen would do next. Review of that movie coming soon.
Rounding out the week was "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," staying strong at $28.5 million. Following in 7th place was the new teen comedy "I Love You, Beth Cooper." Too bad audiences didn't love it. The film made only made $5 million.
