Movie fans that are following the production of Joe Carnahan’s highly anticipated "The A-Team" remake will be glad to know that the original "A-Team" might be popping up in the reboot.

The upcoming film has a fantastic cast, starring Liam Neeson, 'Rampage' Jackson, Bradley Cooper and Sharlto Copley as a crew of war veterans on the run for a crime they didn’t commit.

At least one of the original members will make an appearance in the film. The Official Dwight Schultz Fansite is reporting the actor, who played the original 'Howling Mad' Murdock, has been on location in Vancouver filming an undisclosed role. They're giving no hints as to who Schultz is playing, but they have relayed his take on "District 9" star Copley filling the same shoes he once did.

Said Schultz: "Sharlto Copely is brilliant beyond words. I saw his screen test and honestly, if Sharlto is given an opportunity to do what I saw in that test, ‘Murdock’ will be better than ever!"

I never watched the original show, and although it seems like every '80s show is getting remade these days, I think "The A-Team" has a great chance to be one of summer 2010’s biggest hits. Carnahan showed he can handle an action film with "Smokin’ Aces," and the four main cast members all seem to be good fits for the roles they are taking over, as seen in the first official photo from the film shown above. In fact, Copley looks to be an almost mirror image of Schultz’s Murdock.

There's no mention if any of the other originals will pop-up in the new film. George Peppard, who first played Liam Neeson’s Hannibal, passed away in 1994, but Dirk Benedict and Mr. T could still join Schultz onscreen.

The A-Team will be released in June 2010.
