ABC News.com reported Brittany Murphy, who starred in "8 mile," "Clueless," "Girl Interrupted" and "Uptown Girls," died this Sunday at her home, supposedly of a cardiac arrest. She was only 32 when she passed and regrettably, she joins the ranks of Generation X celebrities--such as Heath Ledger and DJ Am--who meet early deaths in lieu of their growing potential. She leaves behind a decent filmography, illustrating a diligence and dedication to being an actress.

Perhaps her most captivating role came from "Clueless," where Murphy played the role of Tai Fraiser, a high school student making the social transformation from pitiful to popular. But she also received recognition for her voice work, as she provided voices to the characters of Gloria in the Oscar-winning "Happy Feet" in 2006 and Luanne on the television show “King of The Hill,” for 12 years.

In 2008, Murphy played the lead in the film, "The Ramen Girl," and this year she starred in "Deadline" and "Across the Hall."

ABC.com reported Murphy, in one of her final public appearances before her unexpected death, told reporters said she was flying out to Sydney, Australia to work on the sequel of "Happy Feet" with the director George Miller.

Mtv.com speculated Murphy’s death could have a huge impact on the production of "Sin City 2." Murphy appeared as the character, Shellie, in the first movie, based on the Frank Miller graphic novel series. Despite Shellie’s lack of screen time in "Sin City," Mtv.com insisted she could have played a big part in the sequel. According to them, Robert Rodriguez, director of "Sin City", as well as other sources, claimed one of the major narratives of the second film includes the storyline, “A Dame To Kill For,” in which Murphy’s character, Shellie, played a pivotal part.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Murphy was rumored to star in "Poor Things" and was picked to be the lead in the romantic comedy, "Shrinking Charlotte," but died before filming could be completed for either film. However, she did finish "Abandoned," "The Expendables" (Sylvester Stallone directs, co-writes and acts) and "Something Wicked," which all are in the final stages of production.
