Woody Allen is known for making distinctive films that, no matter what the content, have his signature of frantic intelligence, heartfelt reality, and the stamp of someone who truly knows cinematic history. On top of that, his films, from dramas to screwball comedies, always have unique and clever titles that set him apart--and his new film is no exception.

Allen's latest, "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger," is now surfacing onto Hollywood's radar after Barcelona-based producer and Spanish broadcaster Antena 3 entered the project as a co-producer, just as was done for "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." Warner Bros. Entertainment France also has picked up all French distribution for the film, which is based out of London. This is the fourth film of Allen's to be shot in London, a place that seems to be growing on the New Yorker.

The film now is in post-production and boasts an all-star cast in Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and Freida Pinto. The film revolves around different members of a family, their tangled love lives, and an attempt to try and topple their issues.

The film is due out in Fall 2010 and I'm greatly looking forward to it. Allen stands out as one person who knows how to convey the truly twisted and disfunctional ways of love, and you leave him films feeling a little more human and a little less solipsistic knowing you aren't alone in your conflicted, neurotic, passionate ways of love (should you have any). With this cast, the film looks promising and I am excited to see how Freida Pinto holds her own against such an experienced cast.
