Production has halted temporarily on the upcoming third "Men In Black" film, but that hasn't stopped the project from adding a hot name to its cast.
According to Deadline, Alice Eve has officially joined the cast of "Men in Black III," starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
In the story, Agent J (Will Smith) is forced to travel back in time so he can team up with the younger version (Josh Brolin) of his former partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones).
The smoking hot Eve will play Olivia, a young woman who is hired by the MIB agency in 1969 as a secretary. Her smarts eventually find her running the agency down the line. Emma Thompson has already shot her scenes as the present day version of Olivia.
Eve is best known for her starring role in last years film "She's Out of My League," which I thought was an all around solid comedy. I thought Eve was great in the flick, showing off some comedic chops as well as some sexy looks. The actress seems perfect to play a younger version of Thompson, and should bring out some interesting chemistry with Smith and Brolin's characters.
Production is scheduled to resume March 28th on the film, once third-act story issues and a new ending is worked out. While that type of news is usually a bad sign for a film, in this case it should improve the quality of the story with Jeff Nathanson ("Catch Me if You Can") now working on the script.
The delays are not expected to affect the release date of May 5, 2012.
