NEW TRAILER: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

The release date for the upcoming sequel to "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," which is creatively titled "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2," isn't exactly promising. In fact, it might be a bit revealing about how the studio, Warner Bros., views the film.

The film will be released wide on Aug. 8, 2008. The trouble is that August tends to be a time when Hollywood dumps its worst movies before gearing up for the better films that extend into the fall. Worse, it was widely rumored that America Ferrera wanted nothing to do with the film, but did so because she had signed a contract to do so.

I did like the first film, though (a review is here), so, we'll see how this goes down. On that note, don't be surprised if somebody in the sequel loses their pants. Has to happen.
