"Based on the novel by Prosper Merimee, Carmen is the classic tale of forbidden passion between a young man and a spoken-for woman. The film, starring the seductive Paz Vega (Sex and Lucia), was an international theatrical hit and won the award for Best Score at the Spanish Music Awards and Best Costume Design from the Goya Awards. It was nominated for Best Cinematography and Best Original Score at the Cinema Writers Circle Awards, the Audience Award and Best Actress (Vega) at the European Film Awards and Best Actress (Vega) from Fotogramas de Plata. In addition, the Goya Awards honored the film with a nomination for Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Make-Up and Hairstyles, Best Original Song, Best Production Design and Best Production Supervision."

I'm a little ashamed to say this but, I'm into films that deal with forbidden love, and eventual tragedy.
Paz Vega, not only is she disturbingly beautiful, but she is a really amazing actress, who demands yours attention, and gets it.
