I'm so over it.

Because audiences apparently can't get enough of this crap, this Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, they'll be given even more with the release of "Saw V," because, you know, this is such a dense, rich franchise, obviously there's more story to tell.

I personally hate these movies, but in the interest of those who don't, below are several clips, which just reinforces my idea that good horror movies have less to do with torture and more to do with mounting suspense that's sustained.  The gore doesn't turn me off; it's lack of attention to truly trying to scare me that turns me off.  You can slice and dice somebody into a little pile of blood and guts, but without a good story to back it up, all you've got are blood and guts.

Maybe that won't be the case with "Saw V."  Maybe they'll actually come through with a compelling story and characters hahahahahahaha. We'll see.  But if the four previous movies are any indication, they're not going to screw with the formula that has netted them hundreds of millions of dollars.  So, expect more of the same, including that stupid puppet.
