Relive the revolutionary tale that allowed audiences to see what life is like through the eyes of a 1,000 pound mammal when THE GREAT POLAR BEAR ADVENTURE debuts on DVD January 20th from Genius Products and Media Headquarters. With an unprecedented approach to wildlife programming, families are invited to see the world through the eyes of the largest predator found on land – the polar bear – in the Emmy® nominated family special, originally airing on Discovery Kids. Featuring the voices of Howie Mandel (“Deal or No Deal”) and Megan Follows (“Anne of Green Gables”), enter into the frigid temperatures of the Arctic and follow the story of one family’s attempt to adapt and survive in the ever-changing glacial climate that has ultimately made the polar bear a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. Combining stunning real life cinematography with cutting edge animation – over 600 special effects shots were employed – producers worked with top polar bear scientist and researcher Dr. Nick Lunn to create a story that illustrates the effect of climate change from the imagined perspective of a polar bear.
