See A Little 'Kick-Ass' In This Teaser Movie Trailer: A Review
The teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s highly anticipated "Kick-Ass" has arrived online.
The comic book adaptation stars Aaron Johnson, in the story of a high school geek who decides to become a costumed vigilante. The cast also includes Nicolas Cage and Chloe Moretz (as the father-daughter vigilantes, Big Daddy and Hit Girl), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (as copycat vigilante, Red Mist).
The film received a great deal of attention at this year’s Comic-Con when the producers screened footage for fans, which raved about Vaughn’s faithfulness to the comic book. Word of mouth spread.
The trailer doesn’t reveal that much, but it doesn’t need to. The simplicity of it is what makes it a great way to introduce "Kick-Ass" to people who might not know that much about the project.
The trailer shows a little bit of each character in costume and doing a bit of, well… kicking ass. This movie feels like something different than we have ever seen before from past comic book adaptations; it’s like an adolescent version of “Watchmen,” but way more fun. Hopefully, a full-length trailer will come out soon and show the characters doing more of what they do best: Kick Ass.
“Kick Ass” will be released April 16, 2010.

Awesome trailer.
I hate that it doesn't come out until April.
Guess I'll check out the comic book.
