Product description: "From a very young age Eric Bana had an obsession with cars and racing. At age 15 he purchased his first car – the Ford GT Falcon Coupe (yeah, the same car MAD MAX drove). For the next 25 years he and his mates would come together, building and rebuilding the car – it became, as Eric calls it, their “campfire”.
With “Love The Beast”, Bana initially set out to document the rebuilding of the “Beast” for the Targa Tasmania, one of the toughest motor sport events in the world that is a personal Everest for both man and machine. However, due to unforeseen speed bumps, it quickly came to be about so much more. The film follows Eric from inside the race car to the surreal world of the red carpet and the personal and social pressures that mount up in the face of rebuilding a car that means so much to him. Along the way, Eric seeks guidance and wisdom from not only his three lifelong friends but also car-enthusiasts Jay Leno, Jeremy Clarkson, and Dr. Phil."
