New Photos: M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening

The new M. Night Shyamalan movie, "The Happening," opens wide June 13, 2008. Above are new photos from Fox (enlarge them by clicking on them), the latter of which is of Shyamalan himself....because, you know, he has no ego and never likes to put himself before his films.

Anyway, the tagline for the movie certainly is interesting: "We've sensed it. We've seen The Signs. Now...it's happening!"

What exactly is happening? The official plot synopsis doesn't reveal much: "A paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity."

That said, the official trailer does reveal more...and I have to say, it does look promising.

Let's hope Shyamalan doesn't blow it this time.
