DJ Earworm’s “United States of Pop 2009 (Blame it on the Pop)”

For the last couple of years, DJ Earworm, a San Francisco-based mash-up artist, has been creating mixes entitled, “The United States of Pop,” featuring Billboard Magazine’s top 25 most popular hit songs in a given year. DJ Earworm’s mash-ups have been so popular that Annie Lennox approached him to do a mash-up of nine of her beloved songs entitled, “Backwards/Forwards.” DJ Earworm also has done a mash-up for Sean Kingston entitled, “A Beautiful Mash-up.”

This year’s top 25 mash-up, “The United States of Pop 2009 (Blame it on the Pop),” was just released and is a powerful blend of image and song. Whether your pop tastes fall under hip/hop, R&B, teeny bopper or country, there is something in here for everyone. Below you can find a listing of the artists and songs included.
