With director Tim Burton behind the lens, “Alice in Wonderland” in 3D is reinvisioned, reimagined, reintroduced and wonderfully overwraught.

The film stars Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl. There, she’s reunited with old friends, not the least of whom is Johnny Depp’s the Mad Hatter.

From here, Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror. If she and all involved don’t bring Anne Hathaway’s White Queen back to power, order will collapse--and heads will continue to be offed.

Via satellite, we were able to ask the film’ star, Johnny Depp, a direct question, while director Tim Burton and other members of his cast also spoke about the movie.

With the film riding the current 3D craze and Burton once again bonded with Depp and Bonham Carter, “Alice in Wonderland” is a reboot that makes sense. The film opens this Friday, March 5, 2010, where it’s certain to put a furnace under the competition.
