In Today's WTF, Woman Admits To Faking Her Own Acid Attack

Bethany Storro, the 28-year-old Vancouver woman who claimed that an African-American woman with a ponytail attacked her and doused her with acid last month, is changing her story. She has come forward and admitted to burning her own face with acid.

WTF?

Her original story was so far-fetched that officials were having a hard time making sense of it. She said a woman she didn’t know asked her if she wanted to drink something and then threw acid in her face. It gets weirder … she claimed her eyes weren’t burned because just 20 minutes before the attack, she bought some sunglasses even though it was night time. Then she pulled out of her scheduled appearance on “Oprah” because she thought the show might stray from her inspirational message. Finally, she broke down and admitted while “crying” and “shaking” that she did this to herself. She’s yet to release a statement as to why she would do such a thing.
