The long-awaited sequel to the box office stunner “The Hangover” has already made headlines due to news surrounding cameos and retraction of cameos (good job, Mel Gibson). Now we have something else to chat about since the plot to the film has been revealed!
In the sequel, Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married yet decides the debauchery of Doug’s (Justin Bartha) bachelor party in Vegas was far too much to handle and vows to avoid that at all costs. This time around, he opts for a laid back pre-wedding brunch with Doug, Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Alan (scene-stealer Zach Galifianakis) by his side. Of course, this doesn’t exist in director Todd Phillips’ universe and the guys suffer hilarious blunders in Thailand. The synopsis of the film warns, “What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined.”
According to reports, Ken Jeong and Mike Tyson are reprising their roles. Joining them is Bill Clinton and Liam Neeson, playing a tattoo artist in a role originally offered to Mel Gibson. When his role in “The Hangover 2” was announced, Gibson was embroiled in a bitter battle with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva relating to leaked tapes of Gibson unleashing racist and misogynistic rants. His connection to the film sparked an onslaught of controversy speculating some of the cast and crew were none too pleased with Phillips’ choice. Gibson, whose public image has been marred since his anti-semitic tirade stemming from a DUI arrest back in 2006, was then replaced with Neeson.
The film is scheduled for a May release.
