Who knew Harry Potter’s favorite sport had potential sex appeal?
Years before teenagers began fantasizing about the movie versions of Harry, Ron and (especially) Hermione, Warner Bros. made sure that the right to create sexy HP gear was exclusively theirs.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, over the last decade Warner Bros. has been collecting extensive rights to Quidditch-themed items that might be produced. Among the gamut of expected items, such as sporting goods, video games and action figures, are the more unusual ones – crepe paper, barbecue mitts, cloth doilies and….lingerie?!
Warner Bros. is clearly thinking with its wallet. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" grossed over $300 million during its opening weekend alone. It’s clear that HP fans worldwide are in the buying mood.
Would you buy a Harry Potter-themed delicate item? And where exactly do you think the flying broomstick icon would be placed on it?
