Because I can only report so much on whatever disaster is following Charlie Sheen around in a given week, I bring you good news. Deadline has confirmed that IFC has renewed David Cross' genius new sitcom "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" for a second season.
In case you've missed out on the show (please go watch it. now. yes, right now.), which is a co-production with RDF Television (a British production group), it follows the titular Todd Margaret, a buffoon played by Cross who winds up in way over his head thanks to an ill-conceived promotion by his new corporate overlord, Brent Wilts (Will Arnett). Wilts sends Margaret across the pond to find a market for a new energy drink their company has bought out called Thunder Muscle. Margaret, being a pathological liar and total idiot, manages to screw everything up royally, of course, and the first season found him unconsciously collaborating with terrorists, accidentally starting a protracted legal battle with a major supermarket chain, soiling himself on many occasions and any number of other humiliations.
It is without a doubt one of the best comedy shows on TV right now and if you aren't excited about this development, you're made of stronger stuff than me.
