With a budget that exceeded $6 million in 1959, this was Walt Disney's most lavish and expensive animated feature to date.

Sleeping Beauty was a prime example of a time where people just enjoyed the old Disney classics. Being a big Disney fan, I would enjoy Sleeping Beauty a lot more on DVD, even though I'm a guy, and 23 years old. But that doesn't mean I can't try to recapture the precocious little kid in me.

I remember seeing this at a theatre with my grandmother and then when it came out on VHS I purchased it even though at the time I didn't have kids. We've watched it several times and it's one of their favorites, but it's very worn. I'd love to have the new dvd copy.
