Above are the first two official images of Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes (others have been seen on the Internet, but these are...official!).
Guy Ritchie writes and directs, with the film opening wide November 20, 2009. Only Ritchie would put Holmes in a fighting pit. Apparently, this is a reimagining of the Holmes tale, but the question at hand is how much it's been reimagined.

Thanks Chris, RD continues to do a great job since he kicked his bad habits as some of us have also. He's always been a good actor and is showing more of his good stuff now.
