"Arrested Development" Movie to begin Filming in 2010
Let’s be honest--television today is not what it used to be. There are myriad shows that I miss greatly but ranking in the top of that list is a show that was simply too funny for TV--"Arrested Development." If you have been living under a rock for the past seven years and have not seen the series, it’s “the story of a wealthy family who lost everything and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together.”
The show spawned some big name stars, including Michael Cera and Jason Bateman, but it was actor/comedian Will Arnett, who plays the magical Gob Bluth on the show, who confirmed to Movieweb that, “we're just finalizing the script and should begin shooting it this year.”
It’s been a lot of back and forth for the Bluth family and we have been excited for the production in past only to hear it was yet to be underway. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that we’ll all be able to reunite with the Bluth family come 2011. But just in case you need your "Arrested Development" fix, the IFC Channel has started airing back-to-back episodes of the wacky family on Sundays at 10 p.m.
