Deadline is reporting that Eminem may soon have another feature film opportunity. The superstar rapper has teamed up with "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter on a project tentatively titled "Southpaw," which will feature Eminem as a former star boxer trying to make his way back to the top. Dreamworks has already purchased the film after Eminem gave CEO Stacey Snider first rights due to her role in the creation of Eminem's previous film "8 Mile."

Sutter told Deadline that he's hoping to finish the screenplay for "Southpaw" by February before production is set to begin on the new season of "Sons of Anarchy." Although it's been nearly a decade since Eminem last had a major role in a film with "8 Mile," Dreamworks execs voiced excitement about Eminem's recent return to the top with his comeback album "Recovery."

"Recovery" has been nominated for 10 Grammies and sold nearly 750,000 copies in its first week. The album has since gone on to sell almost six million copies worldwide and has also topped the Billboard 200, with two of its tracks reaching the coveted number one slot on the Hot 100. The success of Recovery has given Eminem one of his best years since his "Aftermath" debut with The Slim Shady LP, making Eminem's return to the screen a logical next step. As long as he can avoid starting fights with puppet dogs, it looks like everything's comin' up Eminem.
